    You don't have to be a Pam Grier fan to enjoy this book

    First of I bought the book because Pam Grier is one of ,if not, my favorite actress.I loved the book because of the details about her personal life from childhood to when she was at her peak popularity in the 70's. From dealing with childhood and young adulthood rapes ( and the personal/physical trauma it caused)to her relationships with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar,Freddie Prinze,and Richard Pryor.Pam was very forthright and honest while at the same time not bashing any of these men in any way.I really wished that relationship with Kareem would've worked out,because it started out so innocently.Pam is a strong woman,physically mentally and spiritually.Just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside.I'll ALWAYS love you Pam!Even though I'm up to page 187 (out of 273) I recommend this book ...

    Pam Grier Fan

    When I heard Pam Grier had written a book I knew I had to read it as I have been a fan for years. While the book contained information about her childhood I did not know, overall I was a little disappointed. I would have liked to learned more about her struggles as an actress as I felt she paved the way for other beautiful black women in Hollywood. Her personal relationships were often difficult and I'm always amazed that even beautiful women often suffer at the hands of men who claim to love them. Her molestation as a child by a cousin was painful to read. All in all a good book. I guess my biggest complaint would be that I wished she had written more.

    What an amazing Autobiography by an incredible woman!

    I bought this for my girlfriend, who is a die-hard Pam Grier fan. She loved this book so much. With it's honesty and vivid imagery of a fantastic life, Foxy was a book that my girlfriend could neither put down or stop talking about. If you are a fan of Pam Grier, or even a fan of autobiographies, this well-written account of a film industry pioneer will keep you entertained throughout.

    I love the book. Ms Grier gave a brand new perspective on her life. The book is definitely a great read.
