  • This cd was everything I wanted, it just took me a while to realize it LOL

I've loved Vertical Horizon for years. There's just something so uplifting about them. Their songs have a way of putting me in a better place, no matter what my mood. But for some reason they were one of those bands that I would hear on the radio and say, "Ooooo it's Vertical Horizon! I LOVE these guys!" but never actually purchase any cds by them. After a while (ha yeah it only took me 12 years!) I realized all my favorite Vertical Horizon songs, even the ones that weren't as well known, were all on the same cd! What the hooey was I waiting for!?!? So I FINALLY bought it. SO GLAD I did! Every single song is amazing. Even the ones I hadn't heard before. Usually there are at least one or two songs on a cd that I tend to skip over when listening........not this one! LOVE IT! My ...

  • Vertical Horizon's "Everything you want" a great album

Definitely a CD I can play through and not be disappointed. At first I loved the single "You're a God" and the title track "Everything you want." That's what got me interested, but I found out there's more to it. This album is similar to Live's album V (Five), Jars of Clay, and Switchfoot. The tracks are well done and somewhat "melancholic" at times, but all the tracks have a great beat. The only thing I don't like about this album is the pink cover art.

  • timeless melancholy ride of flowing sound

Vertical Horizon, unlike so many bands that make a short shining appearance and then fade from the minds of all but those who associate its sound with fond memories, will probably be known and listened to in the years to come by many who were not yet born when the band had its day. This CD produced hit after hit that's still played quite often on the radio. Their honest, down-to-earth, melancholy musings on life and relationships touch common sentiments of popular cultural beliefs if not the bittersweet companionship of shared experiences with the fans; and the sound itself is woven into a hum-able tapestry that is as mature and precise as the lyrics. These guys are every bit as good as Cold Play or Keene.
