The best reference work on Avon jewelry – bar none.
This is the best book I have EVER used. I have been using it the past 3 years for my 2 shops ~ “Becca’s Best Jewelry” on Ruby Lane and “Becca’s Best on Ruby Plaza” ~ that specialize in vintage Avon items i.e. vintage and designer signed jewelry and vintage perfumes as well as other vintage items that I am working on incorporating into those shops and now in eBay in my “Becca’s Best” Store. This book is informative!! It gives the name & a brief description of each & every piece of jewelry. The pictures are beautifully done ~ clear & using different background colors that extenuates the beauty of each piece. And the book is very well constructed. It has been bumped, bruised, sat on, caught under my chair, looked through over 1,000+ times (literally ~ 2-3 times per day on slow days & many ... This is the best book I have EVER used. If you are looking for a reference book on Avon jewelry, THIS IS IT! And Sandy is completing a new book on Sarah Coventry jewelry. I can’t wait to purchase her new Sarah Coventry book! With her fantastic pictures, in-depth information and well constructed books, I think I will be adding Sarah Coventry jewelry to my shops and eBay store. I can’t wait! On Avon jewelry, & soon to come Sarah Coventry Jewelry, Sandra Sturdivant is the BEST!!!

Most of the Avon collector books deal with the cosmetic, awards, and figurine collectables and have just a few refrences to Avon's jewelry. This book takes all of that effort and puts it into one 208 page book! It is worth every penny that I paid for the book plus more! The book is layed out with sections on Avon history, signature marks and even the signature jewelry boxes. Over 3,200 jewelry items from 1965 to 2006 are photographed and identified by their ... The book is well layed out. It's contents are divided into catagories by designers, sets, necklaces, bracelets, pins, rings and earrings. The six page index lists the named jewelry and is organized by these catagories. It is evident that the author, Sandra Sturdivant, spent a great deal of time researching old catalogs, interviewing long time independent Avon sales representatives, and aquiring pieces for her collection. I highly recommend this book to any one that collectes or sells vintage Avon jewelry or to anyone that is just curious about Avon's vintage jewelry line. It is a beautiful book and it is filled with invaluable information! It has definetly saved me time and money!!!
