Gently nostalgic, Robert Mulligan's tender and insightful look at three teenage boys' approach to the mysteries of love and sex takes place on the coast of New England during World War II. I also feel it should be mentioned that the seller shipped the item very securely in a box rather than a mailer or envelope, like most would have.     The first time

    One of my all time favorite movies. Beautiful story in a time of war. The age of innocence for a young that many boys experience- their first time with a girl. The music and the filming are fantastic. Highly recommended.

    summer of "42"

    It is the most poignant movie I have ever seen.I love the characters, they were perfectly cast and the sound track was beautiful.

    Not recommended

    I decided to buy it because I thought it would be more about her husband leaving for the war and her struggle but it was nothing like that. I didn't enjoy this movie at all. It was very drug out.
