  • Full Metal Alchemist manga volume 13

    If you are a fan of the Fullmetal Alchemist anime, and suffering pangs of withdrawal, then the manga is a must for you to read! The anime is based on this manga (first published in 2002 in Japan), and it followed it fairly faithfully (with some differences here and there)for the first several volumes. Because writer/artist Hiromu Arakawa didn't have material ready in time, the anime went on it's own arc after (roughly) episode 27 ("Words of Farewell") Some people prefer the manga to the anime, but I think the story arcs in both were terrific. I can't find any weaknesses in Arakawa's work, she is a tremendously talented artist, and a clever writer who has mixed suspense, comedy, horror, tragedy, drama, intrigue, mystery and action in each volume.
