Denon 1909 Home theater 7.1 reciever

Love this unit. I upgraded from 15 year old Phillips FR 968that still works fine. I'm using it with Bose 501 front and 201 surround and sounds awesome. Planning on adding Bose 101 rear surround and center channel's and cerwin vage sub. Would recommend it to anyone. Easy setup using Audissy EQ auto setup.

  • Great receiver. Easy setup

Great receiver with easy setup. I bought this receiver because of the Audyssey sound leveling feature. This feature levels the sound so that those TV advertisements don't blast you out of the room. You no longer have to grab the remote to turn down the volume when an advertisement comes on, particularly on HD channels. It really works! The setup is easy. Use the included microphone to measure the room and let the Audyssey system set the EQ. Be sure to check out the Audyssey website for recommended setup procedures. I'm a Denon fan, and this is the best one that I've bought yet. Would definitely buy it again.

  • Denon is one of the top performing audio receivers available.

As advertised & operated like new condition. Great sound... But, packing could have been a bit better, as feet were damaged in transit, but, used my broken Denon's feet & just replaced feet as needed & I'm very happy with my purchase.

  • Great job at a good price

I shopped around to find a unit that would control all of my HD gear, and upscale the rest. This does it great and for a lot less than many of the other brands, but DANG, is it difficult to figure out at first, and I already had a Denon deck before! Once you figure out the inputs, however, it becomes simple and easy, it even eliminated my Logitech Universal remote.

  • Works like a charm

I have nothing but good things to say about it. This was my first AV receiver purchase so not knowing much about audio stuff, it was rather easy putting it all together. At first I was a little hesitate as a lot of the review said the manual was utterly useless (which for the most part it was) but I didn't have a problem figuring out how everything works. All in all I am very happy with this receiver. My only gripe is I have one of the first generation Xbox 360 (with no HDMI) running to the receiver and to a Samsung 650. The receiver WILL send the video through the HDMI that is connected to the TV, but it is not 1080p, downgrades to 1080i. If I unhook the 360 from the receiver and straight to the TV, it will run 1080p all day. All though some may knock the product for that I don't think ...
