Invertebrate combatants once again wage war on home consoles in Worms Forts: Under Siege! As the title may suggest, there is a greater emphasis on defensive tactics in this edition of Team 17's long-running, darkly comical series, as the player's team of up to four worm warriors must develop and protect a heavily fortified base. Available armaments include classics such as boiling oil and bows-and-arrows, as well as cannons, catapults, and ballistae. Battles are set in historically based locations such as ancient Egypt and imperial Rome. <br><br>As in the most popular previous versions of Worms, Forts: Under Siege! is turn-based; each team member is given a limited amount of time to act, then must wait as the enemy makes its move. Environments are destructible, so the battlefield can change dramatically with each errant shot. As the game progresses, each team of worms works to build additional fort facilities that offer new skills and abilities, and to capture additional territory that can supply the resources needed to create truly destructive equipment, such as air strikes, napalm, and even nuclear missiles. <br><br>Although publication of Worms Forts: Under Siege! was originally announced by the now-defunct Acclaim, it is brought to North America by Sega, another publisher of earlier Worms games.

    the best worms game to date!

    Worms forts is very similar to it's predecessor, worms 3d. Battles take place on a 3d plain as opposed to the usual 2d plane, and are fully destructible. Being fully destructible ALWAYS makes things better! Unless your town is fully destructible, and it get's attacked by, like, Godzilla or something... Anyway, the graphics, while still a bit below par, are an improvement over worms 3d's graphics. Everything is bright, vibrant, and explosive! The single player campaign provides a few laughs, but gets boring VERY quickly. The only reason you will want to play this game alone is to unlock stuff for use in multiplayer, which rocks. Multiplayer is where it's alays been at with worms games! A xbox/360, a copy of this game and at elast 2 controllers(and friends) is all you need to have a ...

    Wacky, silly and just way cool

    This game is perfect for just about anyone. Young, older, or even really old you are gonna enjoy this. It is easy enough to play. You can play any way you want. This game is a challengin as you make it. This makes me want to check out the other Worms titles.

    One of my Favorite Games

    I bought this product because I have played it many times over the years with many different friends. There is nothing that I dislike about this game besides I wouldn't complain if the came out with a worms forts 2 with more maps. Still has a good chunk of maps though. This is my favorite of the worms 3d games.

    Cant go wrong with Worms!

    My kid will eat up anything and everything that comes out of this Worms video game series - and this one is no exception! Hours of entertainment and sheer enjoyment.
