    The Trains that Coleman Made

    A great book full of historic information on the beginnings of the American Flyer Company. American Flyer and Lionel were the 2 main producers of windup and electric trains. See how Flyer started in Chicago up to its' sale to Gilbert in 1939. Full of photos of different gauge trains and descriptions. Learn about the Coleman faimilies that lived in River Forest and Winnetka, IL and their contribution to the company that made the most realistic model trains for millions of children from 1909 even to today.

    A catalog of disappointments.

    This booklet is not well Indexed and the pages are not numbered. This makes it very difficult to look something up. The pictures are well reproduced. This product pales in comparison to other train collecting compendiums and I would not recommend it.
