  • Great book for WWII Combatives Enthusiasts

I was surprised. I bought this little book mainly for its historical value as a book on WWII combatives. I didn't expect that the content of the book would be as good as it is! There is a lot of good material in the book to supplement material brought out by Fairbairn, Applegate and the rest. The book is obviously dated to the WWII era. The main thing to get over is that throughout the illustrations, the uke wears a weird-looking swimsuit that looks like oversized underpants, while Dempsey wears a full uniform. I found that somewhat embarrassing for my modern eyes. Nonetheless, if you can get beyond that, there is good stuff to be found in this book!

  • Great collectible!

Great addition to my husband’s boxing memorabilia.
