But when a six-pack of the best cowboys in nearby states gather to bring down the rebels, using a Native American tracker to follow them across rivers, over mountains, and through deserts; Butch and Sundance decide to flee. Gathering Sundance's girlfriend (Katherine Ross), they make their way to Bolivia via New York City. Unfortunately, old habits die hard, and before they know it, the charismatic criminals find themselves in an all-too-familiar situation, this time facing South American enemies.Directed by George Roy Hill, BUTCH CASSIDY's balance of drama, action, and humor is a winning combination on its own. Butch Cassidy (Paul Newman) is the outlaw with the grandious ideas; The Sundance Kid (Robert Redford) is the outlaw who enjoys putting Butch's schemes into action with the finesse of his skills. Both are leaders of the notorious robbers at gun point, "Hole-in-the-Wall Gang." With their style of life about to become extinct as civilization is building up in the once wilder West, Butch & Sundance are making the most of their days left on the run in the sun by robbing trains.     The EYES tell all....

    Hey, it's Paul Newman and Robert Redford, need I say anything else? Separately they are phenomenal together they are perfectly perfect. The story is exciting and 'mostly' historically true. But beyond that it is just a plain fun movie to watch. Can't wait 'till I've forgotten a little so I can watch it again! ;)

    Great Movie!

    I love this movie, Newman and Redford were great together. Two of the best actors of all time. This movie has great characters in it, not just Newman and Redford. Another one of my favorites is The Sting, they did a good job in that movie as well.
