In the beginn'n...
on the 8th day...GOD...well (thanx to the genius of the parents)...MICHAEL MOORE was created!! Micahel Moore started off his cinematic legacy...with a look into the common realities face'n everyday workers who have been discharged from their livelyhood with this movie. How one man became the powerful and almighty (and by that i mean...really really rich) leader of the FORD company. Dismantle'n his company at the height of profits to find a cheaper way to make a gazillion dollars more without the help of his hired help. Anyone ever burnt out or mad that they don't make the equivalent buck that they're worth...and that their boss is reek'n the joys and bank account without any concern for how he made it there...needs to experience this film!!on the 8th day...GOD...well (thanx to the genius of the parents)...MICHAEL MOORE was created!! This is real Michael Moore--the Moore before he became commercially successful. In this documentary about his hometown of Flint, Michigan (and its subsequent demise after General Motors closed there), Michael Moore explores the issues faced by his bleak city. He also is on a mission to personally speak with the chairman of General Motors to ask some pointed questions. People are doing whatever it takes to survive, including selling rabbits (for pets or meat), and luckily Miss Michigan "supports employment". This is hilarious in parts, and horribly depressing in others. Like Fahrenheit 911, it definitely strikes a nerve. In this movie, though, Moore's aim is not necessarily to tick people off. I saw this work years ago. I bought a copy because, as I remembered it, Micheal Moore filmed events with relevance today. On watching the film again, I found it was funny, insightful, timely, and altogether fitting for today's events.
