    Good script but weak characters

It started out interesting, but lacked the thrills necessary to hold interest. Other than Kurt Russell, the actors had low energy, almost comedic. It was a good script and could have been a good thriller had they invested more time on the savages and less time stumbling around in the hills. Unfortunately, it only became scary at the end. For those who like horror movies Bone Tomahawk is worth watching .

    Why Kurt Russell WHY

This movie could have been so good. The time period is set around 1891(correct me if I'm wrong)There is a clue to that when one of the characters is visiting his wife's newly drug grave.By that time the west had been won and cannibal indians would surely had been exterminated. The whole premise of these indians cutting out their larynx's and replacing with some bone is asinine. Wouldn't that interfere with eating breathing ect.Had they set the period around say the 1840' s 50's with pioneers encountering a group of paleolithic cannibal indians would have made sense. The film is somewhat indie.KR must need the cash.

  • "A SMALL TRIBE OF BRUTAL AND ELUSIVE INDIANS"

This is a very different Western. Some area residents are abducted and never seen again. The villains are a few "Indians" that look more like Australian aborigines. The other American Indians know of their existence, but are afraid to encounter these brutal peoples. A small search party attempts to find these aborigines people in the mountains and set free one of their wives and other captives.

  • Good - Yet Disappointing

This is the most unusual Western Style Film I have ever seen. For the most part the film is entertaining but in an unusual way. For the first 30 minutes or so, it is very slow and boring, however, it does gain speed and kind of peeks your interest. Out of respect for Kurt Russel, I say it's worth seeing but it's not worth the asking price.

  • Worth watching

If you like westerns you will probable like this one. The only thing is that some of the stuff on the cannibal Indians is kinda dumb. It is just hard to believe that a tribe like that could exist. The stuff they do with their voice box is way out there too. All in all it is a pretty good flick if you buy it at a discount. Thanks
