    More great family action from Disney

    For over 1,000 years master Sorcerer Balthazar Blake (Nicolas Cage) has been looking for the one who will replace his mentor, Merlin, he finds him in New York City in the person of Dave Stutler (Jay Baruchel). However things do not go as planned when David accidentally releases Maxim Horvath (Alfred Molina) who is determined to free Morgana, Balthazar's greatest enemy. and together Balthazar and David must defend the world from Morgana. The movie is an adaptation of the Disney Classic Fantasia with an all new look. The story and the acting ate very good in this movie, Cage does a great job and Baruchel plays a bumbling teen, which he seems to be pretty good at doing. I would not recommend this movie to the very young, however for kids 12 and up is would be okay. The ...

    A lesson in intention, attention and focus ! A grand spectacle of a film !

    Inspired by the Fantastia animated sequence of the same name, the film actually pays homage to the scene when Dave is cleaning up the laboratory where his Tesla coils are stored, and the brooms he enchants magically go awry. I adored all the characters from the nerdy Dave (who becomes a confident hero) to Balthazaar (Nick Cage) to Becky, Dave's love interest, and the stunning Veronica. Also Horvath is strikingly evil and malicious as the main Morginian after Balthazaar's life. The end scene has him grabbing his bowler hat, signifying that there is a second Sorcerer's Apprentice in the works. Loving the first film, I can't wait to see what Bruckheimer has in store for his viewers !
