EA Sports' title-holding boxing sim returns to the ring with a revamped game engine and a grittier, more mature presentation. The main attraction in Fight Night Champion may be the physics-based animated action, which applies the effects of each hit with individual precision. The new "Full Spectrum Punch" control system allows players to execute uppercuts, overhands, jabs, and even one-shot knock-outs, in an intuitive, realistic flow. The game's anaerobic stamina system models exhaustion in individual muscle groups so that using a favorite punch repeatedly will quickly fatigue the over-used muscles, and boxers are encouraged to stay on their toes and mix up their attacks.<br><br>The single player "Championship" mode presents a story-driven campaign, with themes of greed and corruption that test an athlete's integrity outside of the ring, as well as his prowess within. As in previous Fight Night games, players can also create their own boxer character and battle their way up the ranks in "Legacy" mode. Multiplayer boxing is supported for up to four on the same system, or for as many as ten online. Gamers can box as or against more than 50 real-life stars of the sport, including Pernell Whitaker, Julio Cesar Chavez, Ray Leonard, Mike Tyson, Muhammad Ali, and the Klitschko brothers, Wladimir and Vitali, as well as many other pugilist superstars from the past and present.

    A True Achievment

    After many hours of gameplay when the controls become second nature this is undoubtedly both the finest boxing simulation and one of the most satisfying gameplay experiences of all the boxing games if not all video games of all time. It is also one of the best looking games of all time, and doesn't disappoint in the audio department either as Teddy Atlas's ramblings sound completely natural, accurate, and are even funny at times. The AI is excellent, making playing alone as challenging and realistic as playing an experienced player. And because split screen is not required for boxing games, you can play with people in the room with you as opposed to many games whose multiplayer only works over the internet, making this a great party game.     Great game with a very intresting story Mode!

    It was my first fight as the great Roberto Duran. A few rounds in, I noticed Duran's white trunks had this odd red pattern on them. After a moment, I realized it wasn't dye in the fabric, but blood. My opponent's blood. Fight Night Champion shows the brutal price boxers pay for stepping into the ring. You can practically see the imprint of the glove on someone's face when you tag them enough. You can tell the severity of a cut – from mere scrapes to deep gashes – on the cheek just by looking. And once the blood starts flowing, you'll know it. It's all over the ring -- and Roberto Duran's trunks.     Cool game

    Map sucks gameplay compelling but make sure you complete every side quest before advancing to the next main quest. Don't say I didn't warn you.

    Fight Night Champion XBOX 360

    I am a huge boxing fan that enjoys playing boxing video games. Had to get this game due to the deep roster and champion mode that was featured on this game. Enjoyed the champion mode (a bit short), but it was great due to the some of the factors that go on in the boxing game (inside/outside influences). Andre Bishop was a good character and Isaac Frost reminded me of Ivan Drago and prime Mike Tyson rolled into one. He has insane power and was a challenge to beat. I enjoyed this game and hope they continue this series.
