    A very good head unit for an apple user

    When it comes to listening to music in your car, you have a lot of options these days. Satellite radio, AM/FM stations, CDs, and MP3 players can all give you access to your favorite tunes. With the popularity of the iPhone, many people like to utilize it for their in-car listening pleasure. Unfortunately if you’re looking for a truly integrated solution, you’ll find that you have few options. I personally use a Sony head unit which features an iPod adapter. In order to get it to play nicely with my iPhone, I rely on a special adapter from Scoche which does the trick. It gets the job done, so long as you aren’t searching out specific songs or artists to listen to. The controls are clunky at best and barely functional at worst. Most of the time I have to unplug the iPhone, find the artist ...

    easy and awesome

    I looked at alot of units, I had a hard time deciding wether to purchase a unit with out a cd player, I am glad I did. I synced the jump drive to my music on the computer and plugged it in to the usb on the alpine and wallah it was playing I couldn't believe how easy it was,I was trying to make it hard and the alpine wouldn't let me.I use the center knob and thats all thats all. I still have to learn all the neat things that it can do but getting started was easy and awesome. I am 40 yrs old and not that computer oriented. thanks alpine for another great stereo.

    Awesome tech, when it works right.

    I have studied and wanted this deck for almost a year now. Finally got it, and I was let down a bit. All bells and whistles work as advertized, but the 1 thing it was made to do, my particlar deck does not do: play from and Iphone. After a day of wrestling with it, plugging in my iphone, resetting, plugging in friends' Iphones, ect..I would get and "Usb Error". Plug in a regular thumb drive usb, and songs play fine. I have a regular 3g iphone made in 2009/2010, nothing special. So long story short, I'm pretty bummed out. Trying to contact Alpine or Best Buy Outlet store now.

    Good :)

    I love how I can hook my ipod or my external up to it and the bluetooth and pandora connection and the controls and the screen are awesome! but it does not have a cd player.. and it's my fault that I did not make sure it did and if I had one I would not use it all that much but still,I wish it had one.

    Alpine IDA-x305s love it

    Looks great, sounds great! Takes a little bit to get used to but a great upgrade from the old Pioneer cd deck I had in there. Teamed this receiver up with the Alpine KTP-445 amp, easy installation and great sound. Love it
