About this product

Product Information

Colonel Blimp, an old, befuddled British military officer, reminisces about his past glories in this witty war satire. Deborah Kerr plays three different women in the Colonel's long, but not particularly well-spent life. A.K.A. "Colonel Blimp."

  • worthy of picking up and watching

michael powell an englishman and emeric pressburger a hungarian refugee formed the most creative production team in british history collaborating on some twenty films of which the life and death of colonel blimp though less well known than the red shoes was arguably a masterpiece. this is a different kind of movie to watch and enjoy

  • The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp

This particular film is too specific to the culture and time it was filmed...in the 40's in England... "in" jokes, ie the moniker Colonel Blimp. It was too far over the top for me. I am a fan of Powell and Pressburger, but I am giving this one away.
