  • Fast-paced puzzle action a good buy

Trauma Center: Second Opinion (known as Caduceus Z in Japan) is the second game in the Trauma Center series. The series has now moved to the Wii, and was a launch title for the system, and made full use of the Wii Remote and Nunchuk attachment. Atlus has dubbed this title a "wii-make." The Good: Fast-paced puzzle action gameplay shows off a lot of what the Wii Remote can do; surprisingly engaging storyline rife with the best kind of anime melodrama; multiple difficulty settings make the high level of challenge more manageable; controls do a great job of simulating some surgical procedures. The Bad: While the presentation looks good, it feels dated--no support for widescreen 480p displays; some scenarios demand trial and error or punishing degrees of precision.

  • This can be frustrating...BUT...

First of all, yes, this game is a remake of the DS version. If you already owned it on DS there's no real reason to buy it again, but if your new to it like I was then you should pick this game up. The game starts with the basic tutorial of the game mechanics, typical procedures, and etc. After getting started it's pretty easy to get the hang of this game. One gripe is that you can breeze right through a surgery and think "yea, this will give me a good rank for sure!" only to find out your still a rookie doctor in their eyes. Solution? Practice. Once you get farther into the game it can be very frustrating trying to pull off your Healing powers in a dire situation. In this game you will Go from cutting someone open to disarmming a bomb to solving a puzzle like problem. This game ...

  • Another Trauma Center? Bring it on!

After loving the two DS Trauma centers, Second Opinion was a must buy! More adventures in surgery are awesome, hmm? Second Opinion is essentially a remake of "Trauma Center: Under the Knife", so expect mostly the same storyline, with a slightly redone script and a new section with an all new doctor. If you have played the "Under the Knife" it might seem repeditive, but if it's been a while since you played the game (about a year for me) or have never played it, the story will be good, or at least worth it to read. The gameplay is good, but has a few flaws. It is fairly easy to switch tools, but everything else will require a bit of effort. Having to use the Wiimote to move the cursor takes some getting used to, and it is harder to do things quickly and precisely than in the DS versions. ...

  • Trying to be a Doctor!!!

Pros + Fun, addictive, fast-paced feel of the ER. + Visuals are nicely done in a cartoonish style. + A perfect example of what the Wii can truly do to make games interesting for everyone and not just gamers. Cons - Having to read through the story instead of being able to watch it unfold like the soap opera that it is. - It can be really hard at times. - Too short for any hardcore gamer, especially since there is no downloadable content. Comments Trauma Center does an excellent job in showcasing what the Wii can do for you. Although there is not much depth to the game, it is so addictive that you will want to play through and then play through again just to show your friends. Verdict If you are dying for another Wii game to own, this may be your best option next to Legend of Zelda. Not ...

  • Great and Unique Game for the New Wii System

This is a great, fun Game for the Nintendo Wii system. I would recommend it for anyone over 9-10 years old. I have younger cousins who found it enjoyable, however they needed help and got frustrated with the later early stages. The game focuses on performing operations on many different scenarios. The game does a great job of making the operations feel "real" without including a lot of blood and gore. The game does have varied mild language throughout the game, however overall it is appropriate for younger ages, shockingly for a "surgery game" there is no nudity. The game takes place in a anime type world. I personally am not a big fan of anime-type games, however I found this one very well done, by the end of the game I was closely attached to the main characters and was interested in the ...
