Here's a few things you Need too know. Be Very Patient. It Take's 20 Seconds For The Unit To Come ON.. The Operating Instructions Are NOT Real Clear On Programing. It Uses 24 Hour (Military Time) Instead of 12 Hour. Playing Back A Recorded Video IS NOT In Hi Definition, No Matter What Kind Of Flash Drive You Use. I'm Using a SanDisk 32GB USB Thumb Drive. If You Pause A Recorded Video, Or Fast Forward / Backup,, GIVE It Time To Do Just One Thing, Or It WILL FREEZE And STOP.. You'll Have To UnPlug The Unit And Start Over.. Is Does Bring The (On Air) Digital Channels In Pretty Good On Any TV, Even The Old Tube Type TV's. After All That,,Iv Learned How Too Work The Thing.. I Like IT.. The LAVA HD Video Recorder is a great little box for the price. You do have to put up with some strangely translated instructions and button labels that could be a little more intuitive. But my main reason for not giving this 5 stars is that it is really slow to fast forward. But if you want to watch a recorded show and pause when you want to it is wonderful. Great picture quality. You do need to provide your own 3.0 USB high speed memory. A good 16GB thumb drive is good in a pinch. I hear that a 1-3 TB external hard drive is just the ticket though! Won’t record on set time
Everything look good expect when I tried to set time and date to record. It didn’t. Don’t waste your money on this if you r looking something to record while you not home. Only thing it will work if you press record. I’m sent it back and maybe get better one.
