This gospel is the most important one. Whatever Jesus says, I try to do!
This is one of the best books ever written by John Mcarthur. He basically warns believers that you can't receive Jesus Christ as your savior only and not your Lord. His death was not simply to provide fire insurance for people. His gospel was clearly a gospel of discipleship. If you are not bearing fruit for the Kingdom, than you are not born again. Period.

On the Lordship of Christ
MacArthur delves into the meaning of what the Gospel does say, in context. Letting scripture interperet scripture. MacArthur explains that only the work of the Holy Spirit(on one's soul) can serve to bring a person to Christ, not a simple acceptance of a set of objective facts by the person. His emphasis is 'Lordship Salvation' vs. 'Carnal Christianity.' The focus being that if one has truly been set upon by the spirit, the believer WILL place Christ first, leaving the vices and devices of the world behind, seaking only to please him.MacArthur delves into the meaning of what the Gospel does say, in context.
