    Fantastic Fantasy Game

I haven't played this game for a long time, until now. It plays just like I remember it. Nice controls, different classes and synergistic teamwork with the 4 characters with an updated storyline of the original NES/Famicom game. Of course, it's not without its usual quirks, such as the lack of a complete battling options (which are later enacted in Game 5), the now defunct use of Nintendo Wi-Fi through Wii and regular DS games can hamper ones' progress with additional content, among other things. But overall, it's nice to have fun with a game such as this.

  • Onion Knights Unite!

Reviewed for Big Boss Games by: T.R.C. This is the first time that FF III has ever been released in the USA. I for one have waited a really long time for this game to come out in the states. In this long awaited game you can choose up to 23 possible job classes like black, white, red mages, you also have your fighters, knights, dark knights, and finally some unique classes like ninja, samurai, dragoons and last, but not least, onion knights, "The best job class for the end of the game because you need to be at least Player level 96 to make these guys shine." Darkness is starting to take over the world, your mission should you choose to accept it in this great game is to restore balance to the world of light. Story 7/10 - The story was great because of all the cool people that ...

  • One of the better DS titles

I bought this game because I love Final Fantasy games, and it didn't disappoint. This game is a remake of the old FFIII that was never released in America. It features a job system and trademark Final Fantasy stuff like Chocobos and airships. It has only a halfway decent story for a FF game so far (haven't beaten it yet), but the battle system is very enjoyable in my opinion. The graphics are a little juvenile, but if you can get past that, they're pretty detailed and not bad for a DS game. Overall, I'd recommend this game, although if you're looking for an amazing RPG for the DS, and haven't yet played it, GET CHRONO TRIGGER FIRST!!!!!!!! It's a much better Square title. Trust me.

  • Final Fantasy III, The Classic Reborn

One thing i love about Final Fantasy III is that it uses the classic battle system. No A.T.B. gauge and you actually have to TRY and keep your team alive unlike all the newer ones where you can easily get revived at inns/save crystals/ and with phoenix downs. The fact that phoenix downs are such a rare drop make the game a lot more challenging but also a lot more enjoyable. I also love the job system, being able to pick whatever team you want is defiantly a great thing. One thing i don't like is having to get on Mognet to get 100% game completion. Some people don't know others with a Nintendo D.S. System, and most don't like connecting over Wi-Fi. One great way and the way i did it was found a friendly, trustworthy person on GameFAQs and we privately gave each other our code and sent the ...

  • Go FF!!

Ive played all the final fantasy games so far on the NES, SNES,and PS2. This game was originally for SNES, I was not able to play it because it was never released in America. So it was remade as a DS game so Americans can play it (reason I decided to buy it). Im a "classic" gamer so i really like the fighting style in this game since it reminds me of the other final fantasy games ive played. The newer ones like FF12 is so much different because you have to move your character as you fight. The new thing I had to figure out in this game is the job changing. You can change your characters job and they then they have a different outfit which is cool. This kinda reminds me of FFX-2 where you have to train your characters to make the skill level for that "job" ...
