About this product

Product Information

Upset by the crybaby antics of human players, baseball owners replace them with robots. The basic elements of the game remain the same: pitching, hitting, fielding, and base running. However, a new element has arisen. The robots are armed, and taking a base is matter of gladiatorial combat. Name your team and prepare to knock heads. You must win to upgrade and repair your team. If you lose, you will quickly be at a disadvantage to technologically superior teams. During the season, a battery backup saves all of your roster moves and tracks key statistics. You don't have to listen to a millionaire whine about his problems thanks to BASE WARS.

It was well-packaged and came undamaged. The tracking number wasn't automatically provided which is odd, but was only a minor annoyance. Overall, the description of the item was accurate, the price was more than reasonable, and the shipping time was typical. Great seller!

Game is as fun as it was in the day

A bit of solvent and the stickers peeled off. Case was in good shape and game played flawlessly.

  • A good game, but not for people who truly love baseball

It's an NES game, so you can't realistically expect much, but it's fun for younger players. If your a baseball fan though, don't bother. The game allows you to control the pitch even after it has left your hand (I once wrapped a baseball around the back of my brother's batter's head and back into the strike zone for a strikeout! lol). And the ball moves so fast when hit that it takes the game at least 2-3 seconds to catch up, meaning if you hit one to the outfield it's a guessing game as to where your players are. The game also has an annoying habit of making the wrong player the one to make the play, i.e. the 3rd baseman is tapped to catch/play a ball hit to shortstop while the shortstop covers 3rd! For young kids though it is a lot of fun, as the robots ...

  • Try it if you like to have fun playing it and not on stats.

I normally hate and don't play sports games. But this one is different. I had played it once as a kid and it was different than other sports games. It focused on good and fun gameplay, rather than if they portray a celebrity and make them look good. The graphics are good for its time and when stealing a base, you can actually battle and fight to steal it instead of being tagged. All in all, it's the best sports game you can get on the nintendo in my opinion. if you like fun sports, this is for you.

  • basewars best game ever????

this game is like god. Its countless hours of fun. Also don't be expecting an easy win all the time the AI in the game is RETARDED. Also when playing friends earn your bragging rights either the old fashioned way of baseball or DO IT THE MUCH MORE ENJOYABLE WAY AND BLOW ALL OF HIS PLAYERS INTO RUBBLE. overall this is a definately classic and a must own for any nes fan
