    Audubon's Birds of America by Roger Tory Peterson (1985

    I researched and gave a speech on John James Audubon without really digging into his actual paintings. Now, over 20 years later, I purchased this massive volume in which are contained most of his bird works. WOW! what an amazing publication in every sense of the word. Quality, presentation, workmanship and in every other way, this huge book is an absolute masterpiece, no doubt about it. It's actually hard to know where to start it's that good. Suffice to say that whoever makes such a valuable purchase will not under any circumstances be disappointed, it's that simple.
