    If you are interested in learning more about art clay...this book is very detailed for a beginner whom wants to know more about manipulating clay into jewelry and firing techniques..some interesting projects included in the book..talks about ART CLAY specifically, not pnc silver clay..

    Book content is okay.

    The book has lots of great info and tips about using the clay, moulding, different products, finishing etc, but in terms of the actual projects in it, i can only say that i would make one of them, the rest are really not that appealing. A good book for learning silver clay work, not for copying patterns.

    Good book for beginners

    This book has great instructions for working with precious metal clays. It is written so that the novice understands the steps. It also explains how to use basic equipment rather than the expensive equipment that is available. It has projects that are sesigned for beginners and up, and the projects can be adapted to your own originals. I recommend this book for anyone interested is working with precious metal clays.

    An excellent teacher, a smorgasboard of projects

    Jackie Truty is the president of Art Clay World USA and this country's top expert on Art Clay Silver and Gold clays. In addition to being extremely knowledgeable on the subject matter, she also is an excellent teacher. The first part of the book is general instruction, tips and tricks from Jackie. The remainder is a series of projects, mostly from other metal clay artists. Some of the instructions are clearer than others. All the photography is excellent - detailed and inspiring.

    i bought this book because it was the first book i ever borrowed from the library on art clay. i love this book..its very informative & helpful..if i had had this book 2 months ago the ribbon ive been trying to make wouldve been saved..im sooo glad i OWN it now. YAY! i liked this book better than the others i have borrowed..enuff to want to own it..its well written & i look forward to getting more books by jackie truty in particular. im teaching myself this art & id be lost without the guidance ive been finding in the books.
