About this product

Product Information

The Simpsons: Hit & Run takes players on a trip through the colorful streets of Springfield in a mission-based racing game with the ability to continue objectives on foot. Something is amiss in Springfield, as strange crop circles have been reported and people are suddenly disappearing. After Homer notices a mysterious satellite-equipped van parked outside his home, he takes it upon himself to discover the truth behind these unsettling events. A total of 17 characters are available for the mission-based driving sequences, with Homer, Marge, Lisa, Bart, and Apu able to leave their cars and enter such buildings as Moe's Tavern, the Kwik-E-Mart, Kamp Krusty, and the Springfield Power Plant. To lend a degree of authenticity to the game, the animated show's original cast recorded the voice-overs for their respective characters.

Great Gameplay While Staying Faithful To The Source Material

Simpsons Hit and Run is an enjoyable game with many great aspects to it. The gameplay is similar to the Grand Theft Auto series in mission structure and mechanics. Although there are no guns or blood and the combat is melee based. You play in a semi-open world, which is broken into sections. You use many vehicles to complete missions and navigate the world. This is the bulk of the gameplay, hence the title "Hit and Run" It is a sequel of sorts to Simpsons Road Rage but more open ended. There are also collectibles hidden around each area of the world. These include things such as Collector Cards, each of which has a reference to an episode of The Simpsons. There are unlockable vehicles, which you have to purchase with Buzz Cola Coins and can earn through races and side missions. This game ...

    Game doesn’t work right

This game quits working randomly saying the game won’t load properly. I’ve tried cleaning the disc to no avail. Pretty annoying to spend $40 on a game and it doesn’t even work right

  • Love this game!!

This game works great!! I’ve not had a single issue! Was in perfect condition no scratches unlike some of the other sellers on here, I just got a totally useless disk in the mail today from another seller! It’s a shame, but thank you for the good product! At least someone is being honest and trustworthy!

  • Simpsons Gamecube

The sender packaged the product very well. They even put a little bit of padding on the interior of the case to protect the disc itself. Also this game is just fantastic. Radical Entertainment deserved so much praise, and instead they got layoffs.

  • Look mom im in my underwear!

ROFL my 6 year old girl loves this game. She thinks its the funniest thing ever to play Homer in his underwear and her and her sister laugh and laugh while running around destroying cars. Its pointless and silly and fun and they love it. The comments bart and all the characters make are hilarious but can be a little much for very very young kids. Personally, I try to look serious and not laugh when they repeat the things they say on the game. I would say this is a definite yes for kids 6 and up!
