Various mysterious accidents almost happen, and the characters must all think quickly to avert disaster. The sheriff, Jack Carter, works hard to solve all of the problems, but another, larger problem is always on the horizon. A great show and series
This was a show I came across watching Warehouse 13. It is a very different engaging show. With good special effects and action with plenty of comedy. A good first season.

EUReKA.... We Have Found It !!
Tina (my wife) and I caught a special presentation with host Colin Ferguson of this TV Show at the San Diego Comic Con International at the end of July... ... while we were waiting for the 'Who Wants To Be A Superhero' Season 2 Program to start. Tina found that she loved that 'EUReKA' episode and has added it to our 'watch list' ! In addition we put this in our video queque and received the first disc to watch. The Pilot show set the pace for the next episodes we watched. It was entertaining as well as intriguing. Not dumbed down and not over the top. Of course we enjoyed X-Files and other non-mainstream shows, so this one appears to be up our alley for watching! (Tina also enjoyed Twin Peaks and Dark Shadows so you know where she is coming from.) So far, with the first disc's ... Eureka is pretty intersting. Its often Sherlock Holmes meets the future with a role reversal. Jack Carter, the new town sheriff, is the one who has the solve the mysteries that occur when the towns experiments go haywire. Usually Sherlock is the genious and everyone is average but in this case Jack is average and everyone else is genious. What makes it interesting is that Jack Carter solves the problems of the town's genious inhabits with his own unique view on things. A great bit of SyFy entertainmet for the entire family.
This is a great DVD. It answered a group of questions I had formed from seeing part of the season and missing the pilot episode. The DVD disks were like brand spanking new when I opened the case and played the first one. The other two were in the same great shape. No skipping, picture pixilating, or stuttering. I want to get the remaining seasons as soon as I can afford them. The SyFy network is saying the 2012 season will be the last one, What a lose of good family entertainment.This is a great DVD.
