I remember reading an article when Pink was recalling the mini-disaster that was Try This, and how she knew she was spitting out really lackluster songs (save for Catch Me When I'm Sleeping). Pink has really made up for that by releasing I'm Not Dead. Each and every song has Pink's personality all over it, and if you like it, you won't be disappointed. From Pink's radio-driven Stupid Girls, where she attacks our society and its adjoined stupidity, to the thoughtful, convicting "Dear Mr. President", which is deep enough to make the strongest Republican melt. I'm glad that Pink wrote that song and didn't portray herself as an "in-your-face know-it-all". But she is very educated, and it comes through in an honest attempt to put all the jokes and the sneering aside and really face the issues ...

  • Now That's More Like It!!!

I bought this CD because I just couldn't get "Who Knew" out of my head. I loved Pink when she first came out and listened to her first hit CD non-stop. When she released "Mizundastood", I rushed out and bought it without even hearing it first. Big mistake. I forced myself to listen to it only a handful of times and finally just chalked it up as a loss. Such a disappointment. However, this CD certainly made up for the money waisted on my previous purchase! I think Pink really opens herself up and lets go with this one. Even if you can't relate directly to what she's singing about, she certainly makes you feel as though you've been there too. As I said, I bought this for the song "Who Knew" because it reminded me so much of a past relationship I'd had and how I feel about it now. Almost ...

  • pinks 4th

i love pink she is unique and she rocks but also has soul, you can tell she has that janis joplin influence, now for those of you who are fans you probably already have this cd. i have all her cds,my least favorite was the first one my second least favorite is this one but i still encourage you to buy it,its still a good cd its just that my favorite was her second cd which put out hit after hit and was cowritten with linda perry of 4 non blondes who im also a fan of. stupid girls is a funny song and i think carries a positive messgae telling young girls you dont have to dress trampy,or buy expensive things or starve yourself because thats for the stupid girls who dont have the mind to do anything else but dance in music videos and smile for the camera-education is important and knowledge ...

  • Glad I Did It

This is my first acquaintance with Pink. I had seen brief clips of her and decided to try a CD. I don't regret it. She is full of energy. Her voice does what she wants it to do. I'm glad I did it.

  • I'm not dead- but she may as well be

I'm really dissapointed with Pink's latest CD I'm not dead. I use to like her music-her anger at the world really suited my teenage mod swings, However being a bit older now, her music is so depressing and her latest album is no different. Her song 'stupid girls' is about bulimia, she has ago at politicians in 'Dear Mr. President', when are singers going to realize shouting their mouth off in music is no good?! So overall-I wouldn't recommend this CD, just stick to her past work then move on.
