About this product

Product Information

Catherine for the Microsoft Xbox 360 is an interactive platformer game where players control Vincent Brooks and navigate him through a series of situations and puzzles. With an ESRB rating of M for Mature, Catherine for the Xbox 360 deals with adult themes, primarily with personal relationships. The plot follows Vincent Brooks as he starts to struggle in his relationship with his girlfriend Katherine, which became more complicated after he meets Catherine. There are two sets of gameplay, with one taking place during daytime when Vincent interacts with his friends. The main gameplay, however, takes place at night in dream sequences that become more disturbing as the game progresses. Both gameplay options are set up with a backstory about men in Vincent's community who start mysteriously dying in their sleep without any obvious causes.

    Awesome game, awesome price!

Love this game, I was excited to find it in such a lower price. Recommended to anyone who loves manga and anime.

  • Top critical review

    Catherine

It's a different spin on a video game. Plot seems to go down hill quickly and the levels become boring as fast. Graphics are less that great and only thing good to report was the cheap price.

  • Fun concentration pattern puzzle game

Very unique game. The story line is just fluff for the puzzle aspect. I ended up skipping over most of the story and just getting on with the puzzles. The story graphics are a bit explicit for a sexy genre game, but also classy and funny. The puzzle is a sequence of dreams where your avatar has to climb various shifting block towers; by analogy the endless climb and evolution of his life. Abstract strange monsters of emotions and morality attack, different kinds of blocks operate with different mechanics and properties, techniques for building and navigating stairways must be mastered, and sheep constantly give advice and interfere. The puzzles are difficult and challenging. You need patience to figure them out. Be careful not to save over your game settings, the slot identifiers are ...

  • Definitely recommend!!

I'm a huge Atlus fan, so in my biased opinion, this game is AMAZING! This game is Puzzle meets Psychological Horror meets Romance meets Visual Story. Graphics are good, not great, but it's Xbox 360. There weren't 4K graphics at this time. They're really good for its time. Story was compelling from start to end for me. I haven't found time to do every alternate ending though, so it could be different depending on how you play. Gameplay was somewhat repetitive, but gradually more challenging, which was enough to keep me second-guessing every move in later levels, but running out of time to care if I made a mistake or two and just hope for the best. It was super challenging at times and made me scream in agony at how difficult a few of the puzzles were (I failed 34 times on one of them ...

  • Fun/Creepy interactive anime based on moral choices. Great puzzler. great!

This is a really fun game involving a time crunched puzzle to climb a tower. I honestly really like it, and it has a lot of story. It is almost like an interactive anime. Each level, you have opportunities to obtain good and/or bad karma, which dictates the hero's responses to his girlfriend and lover. At times, it can be really creepy, but at the same time, really deep. I haven't finished it yet, but it is one of my new favorite games. I only wish it had come out for the pc.
