Must own foreign classic!!!
If you are weary about foreign films don't be about this one. This is one of the greatest italian movies ever made. You will find yourself laughing outloud. How do traditional italians get divorced? It's not that easy. They actually don't, or rather they aren't allowed. It's illegal! Being such devout religious followers, there are only two ways- death or defending your honor. By defending your honor I mean killing your spouse and/or their lover. That's right. Ironically you could kill someone and it would be considered less of a sin than divorce. You must see this film to fully understand. It is not only a crazy concept but a hysterical film. An upper class business man wants to marry another, so he comes up with a scheme to find his wife a lover, make it ... If you are weary about foreign films don't be about this one. Mamma Mia! Laugh Fest alla Italiana!
Matrimonial murder was never so engaging as Marcello Mastroianni delivers it! Cunning, charming and hilarious! it brings the meaning of the word "dysfunctional" to a new higher level! If you've ever been depressed about family problems, watch this one! The music, the pace and the plot are to die for! (Pun absolutely intended!) Enjoy all the extras too!

I saw this in junior high school in 1961 and thought it was the funniest thing ever. Just short of 60 years later, I bought the DVD and watched it again. Its still funny. Actually, it’s timeless. I saw it with 3 others who also enjoyed it immensely. Mastroianni, who really stole the show, was cast perfectly as were the other actors.
