  • Dated casserole cookbook with "some" recipes still worth making...

    I was looking for a good traditional family style casserole cookbook. Unfortunately, this cookbook falls into what i like to call the "pick, choose,copy then toss the whole book out" category. Being printed in the 1960's and into the early 70's. It suffers from past cooking trends and attitudes. It's clearly written strictly for women. Which is understandable for the time printed. But is so overdone. It now reads a bit sexist "anti male". Many recipes use ingredients no longer manufactured. Or ones no one would use any way, like canned potatoes and MSG. The recipes tend to fall into two separate camps. Either a lot of hotdog casseroles,soups,stews to more high end expensive party/buffet casseroles. Both of which, no longer fit into regular daily family cooking. For the more experienced ...
