The transmitter attaches to a fabric strap for maximum flexibility and comfort during workouts. The monitor's Smart Coaching setting guides you during your workouts, providing motivation and allowing you to exercise efficiently. Polar's OwnCal program is an accurate calorie counter and monitor. The program calculates your calorie burn according to your weight, height, gender, age, and maximum heart rate. You can view your average and max heart rate for each lap or the whole training session. The OwnCal feature allows you to see your energy expenditure for multiple workouts, allowing you to compare data. You can set daily or weekly calorie-burn goals, which helps you feel motivated. The heart rate tracker offers support for the Polar UpLink Tool, a unique application that allows you to personalize your device. Using the UpLink Tool, you can transfer Polar product settings from your home computer to your unit. The fitness tracker uses visual and auditory alarms to alert you if new training information is available. Its easy-to-read display features a 12- or 24-hour clock, weekday and date indicator, and backlight. A low-battery indicator lets you check if you're running out of power, and a KeyLock feature stops unwanted button pressing. The device's Wearlink coded heart rate transmission ensures clear readings without interference from other monitors. Its built-in stopwatch allows you to time your intervals with ease. Built with durable materials, the Polar RS100 is made to withstand your tough workouts. The tracker is water resistant up to 165 feet and won't become damaged due to sweat.

    Exactly what I wanted!

    I am planning to replace my favorite Polar RS100 heart monitor--which I have been using for over 8 years. Since Polar no longer makes this model, I wanted a new/used future replacement. This monitor is in better shape than my current. I look forward to using it in the future for my track and field training needs.
