Das Experimentieren mit Sprache, Kommunikation und Akustik machte ihn zum Vorreiter in der Entwicklung der Klangkunstszene. Mit seiner genre- und medienübergreifenden Arbeitsweise beeinflusste er maßgeblich das Wirken seiner Künstlerkollegen in Deutschland und andernorts. Der sensationelle Fund bisher unveröffentlichten, allenfalls selten gezeigten Video- und Fotomaterials der frühen Jahre sowie die Einbeziehung von Werknotizen erlauben es, das OEuvre von Terry Fox neu zu bewerten.
