        What Should Have Always Been is here at last...

        Released at Last! An entirely different story unfolds as Clive Barker's original vision for the film based on his novel Cabal unfolds across this EXCELLENT Blew-Ray disc. The studio pressured CB to make cuts to length and themes in the theatrical version because focus groups were too lazy or stupid or both to understand a story where the humans are the bad beings and the "monsters" are noble, civil and wise. Print transfer is glorious and in very good shape - given that Morgan Creek studios nearly lost the footage from the cutting room floor. Sound i cannot speak to since the audio set up current mine is... off a bit [rather a lot really]. If you enjoyed the theatrical version OR just like CB works OR enjoy stories where the "good guy bad guy trope" is reversed or outright ignored - this ...

        Great addition to my cult classics!

        I remember renting this movie when it first came out. It's a shame that no one has teamed up with Barker for a sequel or prequel to this. Liked it then and even more now with the additional cuts.
