Really nice finish of the cap set. I had bought a lens from another vendor - when it arrived the lens hood was bent/damaged. I tried to resolve it with them to no avail. Basically I was given the run around. Show photos, damaged packaging etc. After that I was given some BS excuse that I hadn’t contacted them in some contact time window . I travel a lot for business - needless to say I was hoping for a suitable replacement. These were perfect match and were reasonably priced.

    Poor construction, wobbly mount

    The function of this adapter is to be able to mount RMS microscope objective or other optic to a Canon EOS DSLR for macro- and microphotography. It is not a direct EOS-RMS adapter, but includes 2 pieces: EOS-42 mm thread adapter and 42 mm-RMS "step ring". You must assemble it by screwing the two together. In theory this is fine, but in practice not so good with this product. The machining of the two pieces is imprecise and the step ring is very loose and wobbles a lot when screwed into the EOS adapter. This is unacceptable for an optical mount. The microscope objective can wobble out of alignment from the optical axis, with a very bad effect on any photos you might take.

    Does what you want it to do. Still working on the image stacking, can't submit a sample.

    Fits the EF camera mount well and holds the 4X objective that I'm using for macro photography.
