About this product

Product Information

To get a truly great guitar sound, you need a great EQ like the Dunlop MXR 10 Band EQ M108. It sports a host of features, including a 12dB cut/boost, hardwire bypass, and illuminated sliders, which all make this powerful piece of gear an excellent equalizer of its kind. Whether you want thundering low end or a hollow treble sound, you'll be able to sculpt your own distinct tone to your exact specifications with this floor unit. The effect provides 12dB of boost or cut on each of the frequency bands, which range from a rumbling 31.3Hz up to a high 16KHz. You can independently adjust each frequency, which gives you ultimate tone-shaping power. The range of +/- 12dB serves up four times the output or reduction at whatever frequency you select. The net result is incredible flexibility. The wide frequency range on this graphic EQ can be used just as well for bass as for standard electric guitars. Gain and volume controls allow the M108 to be used as a traditional stompbox for overdrive or boost as well. It is especially effective on acoustic guitars, helping to render the natural tonality and warmth of the strings in addition to enhancing other elements like reverb. This simplicity of this audio effects unit makes it easy to precisely dial in the sound and intensity you are looking for. The controls on this MXR EQ are illuminated by LEDs for easy visibility on stage, and the pedal is a true hardware bypass. When it's off, there is no negative impact to your tone or signal chain. The M-108 is also a very quiet unit, thanks to the use of its high-quality components. It functions exactly as intended by enhancing your sound, removing any imbalances, and distilling the sweet tones and characteristics of your guitars and amps to their purest essence. The 10-band M-108 is perfect for stage shows and touring. It has been used by legendary guitarists such as Slash and Scott Ian. Jimbo from Reverend Horton Heat even uses it on a stand-up bass. There are many reasons professional musicians choose this pedal from Dunlop. For starters, the housing of the unit is made of die-cast zinc. It can take a pounding night after night. The illumination of the unit and glow-in-the-dark graphics make it easy to operate under stage lighting conditions. Finally, it packs the power and control of a rack-mounted unit into a compact pedal that stows and travels easily with other accessories. It will chain with the other effects on your pedalboard via the use of a patch cable.Whether you are playing live or recording in a home studio, an EQ is a must-have addition to your rig. This utilitarian effect gives you control over 10 crucial guitar frequencies, a simple interface, and the durability to last for many gigs and sessions. Total control over input gain and output volume provides enormous flexibility and an infinite number of tonal scenarios. This unit requires an 18V power supply and standard amp cables.

Wow!! This MXR Analog 10 band equalizer with Silent Night mod is cleaner sounding in person than in the YouTube demos. Excellent quality modification. Griffin knows what they’re doing. Have my eye on the Dyna Comp Ross mod with tone control… Buyers keep in mind.. they’re modding some pedals on order. So be patient, it’s worth it. Shipping was fast. Service is great, I will buy again and recommend buying from Griffin Effects🤘🏻

Yeah, we try and have some pedals pre-modified so there is no to little wait but we sometimes fall behind and don't get a chance to sit and pre-modify pedals so we then have to do them to order. This is reflected in the handling time we post here on Ebay too.

    Solid Quality

Built very solid, this pedal really does do what it says it will do. I like the fact that besides the 10 bands it also has a Volume slider and a Gain slider. This makes this one very versatile pedal. Easy to operate, Simple to understand, Very quiet signal processing and it comes with it's own power supply rather than sold separately. I can see why they hold their resale value on ebay. I put mine on top of the amp and run it through one of my loops so it is much more convenient than having it on the pedal board. But, either way works just fine. It's great for room shaping when moving from one venue to another and tweaks my guitar tone perfectly every time. Very little movement on the sliders produce quite a bit of adjustment so there is always plenty of headroom in all frequencies. Would ...

  • 8.5 out of 10. Read details to see why.

This is a really great stompbox for anyone searching for an easy and inexpensive way to shape the tone of their guitar. I never realized how 'average' my guitar tone was until I bought this. My trebles are bright and crisp and my lows seem to have a booming, nearly infinite sustain. If you don't want to spend the money on a rack mount EQ, this is the way to go. One interesting thing I will make note of: The volume slider is VERY noisy. Oddly enough, if you treat the gain slider as you normally would a volume slider, the hiss almost completely vanishes. I thought this was strange, but it totally works for me and my tone is fantastic now. Aside from that one thing, the only con I can think of is that it is powered by 18V instead of normal 9V pedals. Bummer if you're using a powered pedal ...

  • Your signature tone is hiding in this handy little box.

My friend has a Boss 7 band eq pedal; I tried it during a band rehearsal and unplugged it immediately after the first song--the tone I was looking for just wasn't there. He now uses it for his Fender Jazz bass, and after that, my rig just couldn't compete with his sonic bass tone anymore, until... I bought the Big Muff w/tone wicker and put the MXR 10 band eq BEFORE it (there's seems to be some debate about putting the eq before or after distortion pedals; after hours of playing with it on both sides, it stays firmly planted before the distortion-giving it a much more transparent and aggressive sound--listen to the album "Heavy Petting Zoo" by NOFX to see what I mean. Putting it after the distortion made my tone too thin and fizzy.) I keep everything pretty much flat across the board ...

  • Perfect for voicing you guitar amp for each different live situation!

Simple and quick to use, accurate, and Very low noise ... a must have for amp or guitar voicing. Use it to balance tone between various guitars. Use after the Guitar or in the effects loop ... I prefer in the effects loop ... Looks great ... I velcroed it to the top of my combo so it is always where I need it!

  • every band should have the 10 band EQ

I mostly play with my church band and I don not get paid, so I cannot afford much on pedals, however I have collected a few pedals and needed to add this to my pedal board, this is why.. My amp doesnt have very good tone shaping knobs, there is only so much you can do with Bass treble and mid. After much research I landed on the MXR 10. I have heard that there is alotta hiss from this pedal but was willing to take the chance and see (hear) it for myself. Cons: There is a hiss but it is not super loud if you keep your levels low (at +0 db)and not crank it No battery option so you need to have an adapter for it to work. and it is 18v so if your pedalboard only has 9v you are stuck. Pros: small doesnt take too much space on the board. Very responsive sliders. built very sturdy holds its ...
