My original camera failed because water got inside of it. This new camera looks identical to the old so I sealed all the seams in the casing just to be sure I didn't have a repeat failure. Dealer wanted 400$ for a new back up camera. If you're handy you can install this in under an hour. Great quality product, picture and price. You tube videos are a big help.

It works great but really isn't a great value. It is expensive, especially if you have to have it installed. It is substandard because it is not waterproof and really should be. It is a pain in the neck to install; you have to remove one outside panel and 6 inside panels as well as a bunch of nuts and you will surely damage some of the panel clips. They could have made it so all you had to do is remove the actual camera with a couple screws but they made it uselessly complicated and expensive,It works great but really isn't a great value. Perfect fix for my cloudy backup camera view.
This was the fix for my 2011 Outback Subaru's cloudy backup camera. I tried everything to try and fix the problem. Including taking the old one out dissembling it, cleaning all the connections and lenses. It was still the same cloudy fuzzy picture. I ordered the new one (my original camera part number ended with an "A" and the new one ends with a "B") fit and worked perfectly. This is the fix for you Cloudy back up picture in your Subaru.This was the fix for my 2011 Outback Subaru's cloudy backup camera. I tried everything to try and fix the problem.
