A+++I opted to order the white couplings (don't care about color) in hopes they would be the actual Fantech white couplings (with supposed better vibration isolation), but they are not. Probably I'll get the black ones if I need a second fan. Or I'll bother to hunt down the "real Fantech" ones somewhere. The U-Tube manometer is your basic U-Tube manometer, appears capable of doing what they do. Fan is working already.

The new US-made model is only slightly noiser than the original German Fantech was when it was new, but provides about 25% higher vacuum reading for the same electrical consumption, so overall an improvement on a very good product!
