    This CPU IS AWESOME!

    I carefully inserted this CPU and after gently cleaning the top with alcohol, placed a large bead of thermal grease on top. After reinstalling the "standard" HP heat-sink and rebooting the system (Z400), the typical warning came up with the message about the need for an HP Performance heat-sink requirement due to the fact that this CPU is above 120W. No problem here, that is the next step. (The performance heat-sink is larger with one more copper cooling tube and a fourth wire at the connector) I booted anyway, and noted a difference in response. I am very satisfied with the upgrade!

    Works great in my HP Z400!

    6 cores at 3.2 ghz is hard to beat! in this price range and for boards of this era you aren't going to find much better and its a massive improvement over my previous quad core! I put it in an HP Z400 and it works great! If you have an HP Z400 make sure the Bios is up to date before you install it.
