    Wireless and Email capability is Obsolete

    The wireless and email capabilities of the Palm I705 requires Palm.Net, which has been out-of-service for over two years. Sorry folks.... you will NOT be able to utilize this function that is frequently advertised by EBay sellers that haven't done their homework. If wireless capability is what you're looking for, then you'll be deeply disappointed. Its not going to happen. However, the I705 is a fantastic PDA for organizing your busy schedule and list of contacts, and my favorite: reading E-Books. The wonderful backlight and long-lasting powerful battery allow me read books into the night.

    A Needed Replacment

    I went to e-bay after my Palm pilot screen decided to fog up on me and quit displaying information. The model haddent been made for a few years, so i was given a choice to replace with a newer model and go thru the pain of trying to salvage data from the old one. With out the screen viewable that made it almost impossible. So it occured to me to purchase the same model that had served me so well for so long. I went on e-bay and typed in the model and the bidding started. I was able to win the bid and purchase a lightly used identical model palm pilot. I was then able to put on the old palm in the cradle and back up the data to the laptop(the original configuration). When the new replacment came in, all i had to do is insert it into the cradle and reverse the flow of data to one way to ...

    Palm I705

    The Plam works well, this will make the 3rd of theses that I have had. The problem with the Plam is after a period of time the touch screen does not work as it should and you can't get into the data easly. So I have a lot data so I buy another because the transfer of the date is very easy and that is why I continue to buy them and I find eBay has better pricing for unit.

    Great for those who need it.

    I thought that this was a phone, due to the fact that it was under the PDA section. I played around with it a bit and it is great for what it does. I love the way that it is simple and easy to navigate. But I need a phone so I wont be keeping it for long.

    Old battery

    Please be aware that even though this product is new in the package, it has not been sold for more than 10 - 15 years. Therefore the battery may not be any good. I purchased one of these and the battery will not charge. Will have to replace it with another one.
