This damper kit does not work with a 1997 1.8 Miata. I tried the kit in every way and configuration however the hood will not properly close without something hitting causing the hood not to properly close. Disappointed and now out the cost of parts and shipping. Would not recommend.

Fitment isnt quite perfect, and I'm not totally sure they won't move due to lack of nubs on the bottom (included velcro doesn't actually stick to my carpet) but for how cheap these are, they're fantastic. The actual quality of fabric is great and they look amazing - loads better than my rotting OEM mats. I'm using them as beaters so my Honda Access mats stay fresh for shows.
