    Samsung, Hynix are the ‘good stuff’

    Memory is memory, until it fails. I’ve had very good experiences with Hynix and Samsung, but also failures of each. It’s a wear item you might use for 20 years. Of interest is that PC3-12800R DDR3 1600MT/s registered ECC RDIMM is compatible with 10600/1333 memory all other things being equal (registered ECC). I did not know that until I purchased these. The 12800/1600 versions are typically much more affordable. Sadly, it is not easy to find latency figures for RAM.

    I have got 8 of these RAM sticks for 2 Dell precision t3600 work stations. Had some for a few months ( didn’t buy all 8 at one time) and have had no issues with them at all. The price is fair and not over the top. Shipping was very quick.
