    Best Dual Core upgrade for a G41 machine

    I used this to upgrade a 10 year old e-Machines Celeron PC which was performing awful. According to benchmarks this cpu scored about 40% better than the Celeron E3400 that it was running. The computer is used for regular office tasks as well as web browsing. Adding this CPU and increasing the RAM to 4GB made an abismal difference, it runs extremely smooth now. A really inexpensive way to give new life to a system. 100% Recommended, however if your motherboard supports core 2 quads then you should definitely go for one of those instead, they perform much better than this and the cost is not much higher, but keep in mind those need higher voltages and better cooling.

    This cpu is in good working condition. Core duo, 2 core processor. Included are L1 L2 L3 cache. L3 cache is about 6mb which is very good. CPU speed is good, not slow, not fast, about 3ghz. EZ install, so far so good. Get a mobo that can take up to 8gb, ur set to go. Socket 775 mobo only for this processor. bus speed 1333mhz The description above is exact. Core 2 Duo E8500 Socket 775 CPU Processor 3.16GHz/6M/1333 Try it out, it's worth the chnage from a solo core to a duo. You will see the difference. Its an old cpu, but it can compete with the new ones. Of course the higher the core the better overall performance.

    Cheap Upgrade for Aging PC

    A great performing processor for the money

    I wanted to build me a good Windows XP gaming computer from the 2008-2009 era. With this CPU, it runs all of my all time favorite older game titles that were designed for Windows XP very well. This is a cheap, well worth it solution.
