      Plastic Gear replacements. Great Bargan!

      Bought these to replace worn ones on two separate starters, Work perfectly! Somewhat tedious to install as it required the removal of a drift pin through the main shaft that releases the gear & spring assembly. Teeth are not angle cut to be smooth inserting when starter engaged, but work ok. Some minor filing of leading edge fixes that!

      OEM B&S is the way to go

      After receiving these I was able to compare to the cheap gears. Like some reviews said they are made of a stronger polymer, or other type of material. Should last a long time.

      Required part when replacing woth cheap starter

      I bought this nylon gear in desperation because I purchased a new 30$ cheap starter with a plastic gear. I got four starts and the plastic gears would strip. Four gears later broke down and bought the genuine nylon Briggs and Stratton gear .. two weeks and about 100 starts still going strong! If you replace the 100$+ Briggs and Stratton starter with the 30$ aftermarket starter get this gear! Definitely worth 10$ more!!

      Two pack is a great thing in case of do overs or just to have one handy.

      Starter gears have to be durable and fit well, these do the job well so you only have to do it once.
