Item arrived bubble wrapped and not in original manufactored packaging nor did it have the instructional paperwork. Additionally, the wires have been previously cut as a new unit has many feet of wiring (I have 2 other Sahara S1100 for comparison). You get what you pay for.

The wires have not been cut, that's completely false. Also, this pump is in the new other category which means not in the original packaging. Please read the listings in the future before purchasing.

    Replacement

    This pump was original equipment on a boat that I had purchased 6 years ago and worked flawlessly until a hook got stuck in it and restricted the float from operating. I replaced it with the exact same model and it was so easy it just stepped into the base and all I had to do was attach three wires and the hose and again it's working flawlessly I would definitely recommend this pump to anyone who has the need for an automatic bilge pump

    Short life. Reliability suspect.

    This type bilge pump was installed on a new Tidewater boat I recently purchased. The automatic float switch broke in the second year I had the boat so I had to use the manual switch to activate the pump to remove any accumulated water from the bilge. Since I dock my boat in the water for the season, I need a reliable, automatic bilge pump. I believe the retail cost of this bilge pump is excessive. I purchase this pump on Ebay, at a substantially reduced cost. I decided to purchase the same bilge pump for ease of installation, but I am concerned how long it will last. Hopefully years from now the automatic switch will continue to work and I can change my review to a more positive response.

    Good pump.

    This is a replacement for the same pump which has serviced the bilge in my offshore fishing boat for about 5 years of heavy use. I like the fact that there is a built in float switch and installation is very easy.

    Good value

    Only needed the bottom strainer which I could not find locally without buying a whole pump like this for much more money. The pump looks new, no packaging or anything with it, but this was not an issue for me. The old pump is 3 years old and still works great, unfortunately the dealer broke the blue plastic strainer on install by using the wrong screws and did not tell me. If anyone deserved a bad review it would be the installer at the boat dealer...
