Product Information

Originally released for the Sega Dreamcast and arcade, Power Stone and Power Stone 2 are bundled neatly into the Power Stone Collection for PlayStation Portable. Both games involve 3D fighting, consisting mainly of punches and kicks, but players can also collect power stones to turn their characters into super fighters who cause more damage than their counterpart. Power Stone features an "Arcade" mode for single players that includes unlimited continues and such bonuses as weapons, characters, galleries, additional modes, and more. "Versus" mode allows up to two competitors to duke it out with one of 15 available characters. <br><br>Power Stone 2 features a variety of single-player options and multiplayer action with the inclusion four-player combat in multi-tiered levels. Modes of play include a single-player "Adventure" that allows solo gamers to fight enemies for items and gold to use in other areas of the game. "Basic" is another single-player game that includes unlimited continues and matches that lead to a final boss battle. The final single-player option is "Arcade," which pits gamers against three competitors at a time. "Original" mode allows up to four friends to duke it out in one-on-three, two-vs-two, or tag team tussles by using a wireless connection. The game also includes a mini-game in which players must defeat their opponents while the level is blasted with falling bombs. Both games feature a training arena and "Screenshot" mode.

    I haven't even played this yet, but I already know it's good from my Sega Dreamcast days. The game is already hot. Making it portable makes it even better. I hope the series comes back with a new addition.

    Power Stone Collection

    Exteremely pleasant to see this classic return except this time on a handheld platform. It retians all the spped, gemm collecting, and arena tossing action you enjoyed with its console predecessors but now with the convenince of going with you wherever you go. While both games are now placed on one UMD there is very little load time neccasary betwen matches and there is nothing lost in terms of gameplay once you do begin. Has adjkustable difficulty settings to help those of us that need a little easing back into the swing of things. The WLAN connection ability allows for quick multiplayer pick up as long as you and a friend have both this game and a psp handy. Overall great product that was well worth its pprice. It os very easy to see why this is one of the rarest games to find out there ...

    Power stone col. is for anyone who likes smash bros

    For anyone who played powerstone 1 and 2 you know what your getting plus you get extra items and gallery. For those who havent played it the game plays like a 3d version of super smash brothers since you can run around a 3d world beating up your enemy or picking up items to help you out, the most important items are the power stones for which the game is named after. each character starts a fight with one stone and can beat others to knock it out of them and a third shows up randomly on stage and if any character collects all three stones you transform into a time limited hyper mode that grants you character specific attacks depending on who they are and two transformation ending moves which are more powerful the sooner you use it at the beginning of a transformation.     Forgotten Capcom Gem

    Loved it so much. I'm just sad that I there's no one else I can play with as this games looks so fun with other people :( Otherwise it's solid and I hope Capcom gives us a Powet Stone 3 sooner or later!
