About this product

Product Information

In this sequel to "Mr. Roberts," the crew of the U.S.S. Reluctant find themselves docked beside an island which boasts a barrack full of attractive nurses. Not as good as its predecessor but it's fun to spot the many future stars in the cast.

This is the follow up to Mr. Roberts. It is funny and just a nice clean movie. I have no idea why they never put it on DVD or stopped making it.They did make Mr. Roberts on DVD, which I bought. Its hard to find a nice family movie. I did record it years ago from TV but I wanted a good copy of it, too bad they dont show it anymore, its worth watching.

  • follow up to Mister Rogers

Not quite the caliber of Mister Rogers, almost tries too hard. Good laughs with Burl Ives. Not available on DVD yet so had to purchase on VCR, will probably not replace if ever it is.

In addition, his miserable existence is aggravated by the fact that his ship is just one of many seagoing "delivery trucks" that plod the backwaters of the war, with their only enemies being monotony and boredom. By never allowing any sort of humanity to his crew, and by keeping them from liberty, or even the simplest of pleasures like swimming, he has managed to make ...
