About this product

Product Information

Xbox-equipped living rooms get Unreal in 2002. This multiplayer-oriented first-person shooter has been built from the ground up for state-of-the-art performance on Microsoft's Xbox, using Epic Games' latest Unreal technology. The game has been developed to bring across key elements of the favorite PC series while adding new features and aspects of play just for this decidedly console-based release.

Weapon distribution is more straightforward, allowing players immediate access to the guns they've "unlocked" instead of forcing them to search the hallways for spawn points. An energy bar rises with consecutive kills and powers-up the player's character when full. The game's control scheme is also custom designed for the console, using both analog sticks and context-sensitive movement and aiming.

Several modes of play are available, including a single-player tournament. Realizing the importance of multiplayer options to the series, Unreal Championship supports online connections through the Xbox's broadband equipment. Four-player split-screen matches are also an option, as well as direct console-to-console "LAN" parties.

This classic console version of UT2003 still quenches your UT thirst!

Ok so everyone knows that unlike Unreal Championship 2, the original Unreal Championship is essentially a full port of the original version of Unreal Tournament 2003 for PC. Of course that means there will be many things missing, right? In this case no, the game plays almost identically with 2003 with the added benefit of aim assist while using the xbox controller. The controls are excellent and very customizable, as well as the majority of the game. It is in some ways altered from the original. Different menu music and layouts and there are maps added that fit better for up to 8 players than ones that were made for 12-16 in the PC version. Other than that, honestly everything in 2003 and more is on here. Characters have unique stats for their agility, accuracy, tactics, and max health in ...

  • a good shooter

"This game is truly unreal!" Unreal Championship is one of my favorite games for Xbox.It is a first-person shooter. This game has you fighting enemy teams while trying to capture flags, defend bases, deliver bombs and best the other team in a deathmatch. Note: This game can also be played on Xbox Live, but I do not have Xbox Live so I will review it based on what I know about the game without Xbox Live. Gameplay: This game is extremely fast pased and exciting! The one player in this game is pretty good. You create a profile and your own team of elite competitors and then start a new campaign. This one-player campaign has you and your team going through different ladders of different kinds of tournaments, having you compete for a gold trophey. There are different ladders including Team ...

  • Boom.

This is an excellent bit of quick action. Designed around its multiplayer experience, this shooter features fast respawns, obvious objectives, amusing dialogue, and more. It is an excellent party game for people who enjoy cartoonish gore, silly taunts, and easy-to-understand controls. I use it to unwind.

  • Unral Championship (Xbox)

I found the initial single Player game play to be quite boring, simply battling it out with fresh meat to kill, left right and center. The actual game play how ever is quite good, giving you a third person perspective, which I don't ussually like, but the visualizations are nice, not on par with some of my favorite xbox games like Halo/Halo 2. But like most multiplayer xbox games, this is why and where Unreal Championship excels as one of the best Xbox games. There are a variety of multiplayer game modes, all of the match customization features every online game should have, and more. This one has downloadable content available too. Multiplayer gaming is what I like because your dealing with real people, which makes the game play that much better. So if you are in to Multiplayer games, ...

  • Review of Unreal Tournament

The first thing that you notice when you start playing is that there really is no plot. RPG fans, this game is a huge turn off for you. The weapons are limited, and their power can only be amplified if you choose a certain character. The game goes from very easy at 'Novice' to unbearably hard at the next difficulty level 'Skilled'. Killing other players, or bots as they are called, is entertaining, this seems to be the sole reason the game exists. Differrent game modes and maps give for little variety, but gets repetitive. Replayability value is very high for FPS fans because the players actually are challenging and gameplay differs from each sit-down.
