    Makes following canning recipes more accurate

    Many pressure cooker canning and other recipes call for different pressure regulation - When you don't have a pressure gauge then the rocker that can be adjusted to 5, 10 and 15 lb weights are invaluable. We had a regulator rocker of this type that came with our canner but it was lost and for years now have always tried to adjust the pressure cooking time because we only could find a 15 Lb rocker. Now things can be done far more accurately and we anticipate better results. The Stainless Steel is much easier to clean and keep all things sanitary.

    A real time saver

    This variable pressure weight makes pressure canning a real breeze. For years, we had to babysit the canner while corn, brans, beets, etc. canned. Always seemed like the second you walked away, it either ran over or under pressure. This little fellow just sits there and rocks away at 10 #. Set the timer and do another job without worry of an overheat or losing pressure.

    Like the product

    I bought and received the 50332 cooker/canner 5,10, and 15lb weight. I tested each part of the weight on my canner that has a gauge and all three started rocking at the right LBs. I am very satisfied and comfortable using it on my smaller cookers that don't have a pressure gage!

    Heavy gauge stainless steel, crafted to last for generations. I love the interchangeable weights to adjust pressure. I bought one for each cooker, and by the apparent quality, I don't expect to HAVE TO replace it in my lifetime.

    VERSATILE....But runs a tad light on pressure

    I like the advantage of having only one pressure regulator that will register at both ten and fifteen psi. However, when I measured the physical weight of this regulator against weight of both the standard ten and fifteen individual regulators, it came up about five grams light in both instances. This results in a reduction in canning pressure of approximately 1-2 psi. Not a real concern. I plan to compensate by adding an additional five minutes to the canning time. All in all, a reasonable value, but I am disappointed to think that Presto, with decades of manufacturing excellence, could not have hit this product on the mark with just a wee bit more engineering and quality control.
