Good light, thin flexible cable
Nice cable for light duty, minimalist applications - like for head worn or lavalier microphones or other applications where very flexible, lighter, thinner cabling is appropriate. Easy to work with, easy to install connectors - a bit of a fine sort of cable - but sometimes you do not want a thick, heavy duty cable, and this is just the thing for when you want something light, thin, and flexible - yet durable and reliable and low (no) noise. While some reviewers report difficulty installing connectors - I have always enjoyed working with this cable - no issues and no worries here. Nice cable for light duty, minimalist applications - like for head worn or lavalier microphones or other applications where very flexible, lighter, thinner cabling is appropriate. Easy to work with, easy to install connectors - a bit of a fine sort of cable - but sometimes you do not want a thick, heavy duty cable, and this is just the thing for when you want something light, thin, and flexible - yet durable and reliable and low (no) noise. Good. Not great, but good.
The Mogami 2552 cable's jacket is thick, the shielding adequate, and the flexibility is acceptable. But the two signal wires are far too low in strand count and the strands that are there are rather coarse, stiff and eager to just snap the first or second time they get bent. Plus, just to annoy anyone that dares to solder them, they are interwoven with polyester strands. Then just to really throw a monkey wrench at you, the diameter is just a little bit bigger than standard, so you will have to wrestle any connectors on and off. And forget about shrink wrapping the cable and slipping the connector shell down over the end. Not happening. Diabolical. All in all, I will be looking for a different signal cable from now on.
