    Comedy as it used to be done

    This programming was wholesome, varied, and involved hugely talented people who staged comedy like chamber music. I had forgotten how talented they were - singing, dancing, quick change of personas, regional accents, and ad lib jokes. Each was waiting for the other to crack up. Really entertaining.

    Carol Burnett. How Can You Go Wrong ? This set is a treasure and proof of how TV was so much better than it is today. The characters on The Carol Burnett Show were so much more engaging than what we have today. Many, many TV shows were so good bak-in-the-day that so many people are buying DVD sets of the old shows. Me for one.

    Disappointed with the Ultimate Collection

    Sometimes your memory plays little tricks on you & unfortunately that's what happened to me when remembering The Carol Burnett Show I watched growing up. I remembered the comic skits (that I loved) & chose to forget the musical numbers (that I'm not crazy about)......which in a nutshell explains my disappointment. I'm watching these DVD's wanting more comic skits & no musical numbers.
