    Lightweight switch

    The switch functions well and has the density of 18 channels which covers my needs well. I would like to have more of an indication of the unit being on and lit when a channel is in use but the switch functions and that is the most important thing.

    Seamless integration with existing network

    This unit was literally a plug-in and go. There was not setup involved, and integrated perfectly with my LAN. This is one of the few products that is designed with all the Ethernet and Power receptacles on the rear of the product. Nice touch to keep the wiring mess to a minimum. I've had it operating for a couple weeks now and not one issue. I recommend this product to those wanting to expand their network.

    Lots of white noise

    Within an hour of having this plugged in, I began to notice some pretty unbearable white noise. This was with me sitting within about 10 feet of the switch. I eventually determined that it was coming from the AC adapter. I immediately put this switch back in the box and ordered a Linksys desktop switch. Problem solved.
